TIME WILL TELL

Time Will Tell is a letter to the past, present, and future incarnations of Sozi. Throughout its 12-track body, the album invites the listener on a journey from high-school memories to thoughts of children not yet born, with passages about love, resentment, empowerment, grief and more in between. The project is a follow up to As We Proceed, the acclaimed collaborative album Sozi released in partnership with glbl wrmng’s Kr3wcial. 

The 12 tracks on Time Will Tell are representative of the 12 numbers of a clock’s face, and the majority of the album’s song titles feature chronology-themed idioms. “Time Is Fleeting” is a poem in which the 45-year-old future Sozi visits the present day 25-year-old in a dream. “Grandfather Clock (Sankofa),” “Things Take Time,” “Moment in Time” and others adopt themes of time travel and the manipulation of time and place. It all ends with a cliffhanger. 

The album features Kr3wcial as well as Sleazy EZ and Dominic Scott, all of whom are members of the critically acclaimed collective glbl wrmng. The album is executive produced by Chad Roby, who has worked with Grammy-winning PJ Morton, the Grammy-nominated Tank and the Bangas, and more. 

Time Will Tell will arrive on November 12, 2021.
